AIZU-WAKAMATSU TSURUGAJO CASTLE
The five-story castle building of Tsurugajo resembles that of a white crane swooping down from the skies. During winter, when fresh flowers are unavailable, people create 7,000 "flowers in flame" using traditional hand-made painted candles. The lacquer-made Japanese candles flicker in the night to create a world of fantasy.
