* CHUSONJI TEMPLE
People yearning for eternal prosperity created a structure of unparalleled splendor to epitomize the land of Perfect Bliss in the present world. The Konjikido uses gold in abundance, and its radiant beauty eloquently speaks of the wealth of the Tohoku region and prosperity of the three generations of the Northern Fujiwara clan. Its brightness has not diminished even after 900 years.

* MOTSUJI TEMPLE
When snow covers the oldest Paradise Garden in Japan, the "Dance of the Ennen," which has survived for 800 years, is presented as a dedication to the temple. The mysterious dance, in which elegantly clad dancers stand out beautifully against the cold and clear darkness, continues late into the night.

* KOIWAI FARM
An immense snowfield lies at the base of Mt. Iwate. What awaits the visitor to the Koiwai Farm is an experience only the winter season can offer: a horse-drawn sleigh ride through the snow, mutton barbeque cooked and eaten inside the Kamakura, and a giant snow slide. Visitors will forget the cold and enjoy themselves in the snow.
