ABUKUMA SHINSUI PARK is located in the eastern
part of FUKUSHIMA CITY, near OKABE BRIDGE
in the ABUKUMA RIVER. The swans which fly
to this park are so used to people that
they eat out of their hands and can be observed

The ABUKUMA RIVER flows through TOMIHISAYAMA
TOWN in KORIYAMA CITY, Many swans will fly
to this area in November every year. In
order to see the swan swimming in the river,
many tourists from outside the prefecture,
come to visit and enjoy feeding the swans.

AIZU CANDLE FESTIVAL (AIZUMAKAWATSU
CITY)

AIZU painted candles, with a 500-year old
tradition, were mainly shipped to EDO and
used as high quality candles. These candles
are bright and long-lasting because of the
high quality of their materials. These candles
which are meticulously made by hand are
lighted simultaneously on a grand scale
at OYAKUEN and TSURUGA CASTLE, thus enveloping
the area in an aura of mysticism and beauty.
