It is well-known as the Hot Spring of Beauty. The water doesn't
have color or smell but does wonder to your skin. There are 30 inns and hotels
along both side of Gokyaku-gawa river.
It is a toll road run through Azuma mountain range. The road
is 28.8km long and on the average 1,350M above sea level. Along the road there
are scenic spots such as Jododaira and Azuma-kofuji.
Jododaira is a part of Bandai/Azuma region in Bandai-Asahi National
Park. It is 1,600m above sea level. Jododaira is surrounded by Issaikyo-san mountain,
Azuma-kofuji mountain and Oke-numa swamp. Since Jododaira is located about in
half way of Azuma-Bandai Skyline there is a rest area and nature walk for tourists.
You can also enjoy wild land created by Issaikyosan's volcanic eruption, primeval
coniferous forest, alpine and sub alpine vegetations.
Ishinomaki city has Old Ishinomaki Chapel and Hiyoriyama-koen
Park, a well-known cherry blossom spot. Also there is Kankeimaru-Honten-Marusu
Museum where old potteries are displayed. It will be fun to visit an amusement
park, Bay Park Ishimaki or Sun Fun Bautisuta Park. If you want to enjoy an island
tour you can take a regular sea route from Ishinomaki to Aji island via Tashiro
island. Tashiro island has a camp site named Manga Island and it attracts many
campers.
